This is an online course due to COVID-19 restrictions. The course is intended for anyone working with children or young people, in either a paid or a voluntary capacity, in Mosques, Madrassas & Muslim-led organisations.
This course is suitable for all persons and will provide an understanding of safeguarding which can be used in a workplace, activity group or any instance where a person comes into contact with children or adults at risk.
The course provides learners with the knowledge to identify a safeguarding concern, listen and appropriately record a disclosure, and report to the appropriate person.
Who should attend
- Anyone 18+ who works or volunteers in an activity where they might come in to contact with children or adults at risk
“I recently attended a distance learning Level 3 Safeguarding Training which I would highly recommend. I was a little dubious at first at how effective online training would be but was pleasantly surprised. Apart from missing out on coffee and biscuits, I do not feel that we were at any particular disadvantage and that was down to the skill of the trainer Tafazal. Learning materials were sent out in advance, with clear guidance on what to read and how to self prepare.“
“The sessions themselves were interactive and being able to share good practice amongst other group members as well as ask pertinent questions was very useful. The trainer Tafazal has a calm supportive manner and clearly his years of professional experience stand out. As a teacher myself, who has attended numerous training courses, I particularly found the aspects of dealing with questions around the Masjid and Madrassah experience extremely beneficial. This requires a particular level of expertise; which Tafazal also reflected.”
